Geez loueez… this happened to me when I was in First Grade. It was a simple moment of memory lapse. I had a pocket knife in my pocket, like I still do today, at the age of 56. It wasn’t uncommon for youth to have pocket knives. To this day, it is the most handy, useful tool I carry. Never once have I brandished it as a weapon. (However, if it’s all I have on me if my loved one’s or I are threatened, of course I’ll use it to defend). Anyway, I had reached into my pocket to pull something out and the knife fell on the playground. The playground monitor saw, picked it up and confiscated it. That was it- no news, no call to my Mom. I guess times are different.I still felt humiliated and miss my first pocket knife. 😀
