The dad of two was found shot dead in the 300 block of West Philadelphia Street in York at 11:13 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, as Daily Voice first reported. Furman Dennis III, now 21 (19 at the time of the shooting), of York, is the forth person to have been arrested in connection with his death, as WGAL News 8 reported.

On July 11, 2022, 26-year-old Jacquez Davon Brown— who was out on bail for witness intimidation charges after being exonerated for the murder of 19-year-old Anthony "Tony" Wasilewski in 2011— was arrested at his home in the 600 block of Wheatfield Street, Daily Voice previously reported.

The following day the police held a press conference announcing the discovery of a massive weapons stash— including multiple ghost guns and bulletproof vests— at Brown's home during a warranted search, Daily Voice reported at the time.

There was no word that additional suspects were being sought when the police announced that 21-year-old Rashad Malik Colon and 22-year-old Antonio Joseph Jones had been arrested on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. The charges against Jones were withdrawn in Oct. 2023 based on video evidence, York Daily Record reported.

Colon has dozens of charges against him involving drugs and firearm offenses starting in 2021 in York County, which were consolidated into one case in 2022, court records show. He was out on $50,000 bail (posted in surety bonds) for much of that time but was re-arrested and arraigned on Nov. 23, and his bail was then modified and additional charges were filed.

Dennis Has two active cases for felon and misdemeanor drug-related offenses, previous court dockets show. One of those cases involved Jones, as York Dispatch reported. Dennis has been denied bail.

All the men have held in the York County Prison, court documents show.

Anyone with information on Carr's killing is asked to call the York City Police Department at (717) 846-1234.
