The 2024 edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine was released earlier in July and one of the features annually is the magazine's Super Team candidates from all across the State of Texas. These players are considered to be the very best players at their positions from players in more than 1,500 high schools all across the state. This year on offense there are two players from Jasper that have made the list and for the second year in a row, Jasper has a Super Team first team player.

, , , , Mary Shurn of the Pleasant Hill Community near Linden celebrated her 100th birthday July 3. Some 200 people came to celebrate with her. Three Shreveport men convicted on federal firearms charges
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Three men from Shreveport each face years in federal for the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. According to United States Attorney Brandon Brown’s office, DeAngelo A. Davidson, 33, Gmerrio L. Underwood, 24, and Casey R.
