Ozark man charged with wife’s murder asks for bond
OZARK -- An Ozark man charged with the July 13 murder of his wife in Daleville asked for bond during a hearing in Dale County Court Tuesday. Ricky McCray, 45, has been in Dale County Jail charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of his wife Stephanie McCray, 37, at about 10:54 p.m. July 13 while the couple were in the car she was driving at the McDonald’s drive-thru in Daleville since his arrest July 18.

Dale County receives $180,000 grant to expand freight transportation company
OZARK- A $180,000 grant to benefit a freight transportation company with plans to expand into Dale County was announced by Gov. Kay Ivey’s office this week. The Community Development Block Grant that will help bring about 20 jobs to Dale County is the result of "great teamwork," said Dale County Commission Chairman Steve McKinnon Thursday. “This will benefit the entire county.”
New trucking hub coming to Dale Co., state commits almost two hundred thousand in funds
DALE COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — Dale County is receiving a $180,000 grant from the state to build a new trucking freight hub near Midland City. According to a release from the Governor’s office, this Community Development Block Grant will provide infrastructure to construct a 21,200-square-foot building for Averitt Express.
