Tinker opens non-emergency transport service
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... Longtime Nurse assistant Roosevelt Tinker saw an opportunity to help disabled and elderly residents in Dallas County. Hours after Tinker opened Preferred NEMT LLC on Tuesday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, sponsored by the Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce, was held at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library. Preferred NEMT provides services for hospitals, kidney dialysis, nursing homes, schools, private doctors and rehabilitation. They also drive the elderly and disabled to the doctor, grocery store or anywhere needed for a fee. Daily hours are between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. seven days a week.
