Adel Fire Association & Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Donates $1,500 to Special Olympics Iowa
Two organizations in Dallas County have helped donate to a great cause in the state of Iowa. The Adel Volunteer Fire Association along with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office recently made contributions to the Special Olympics Iowa with a $1,500 donation. The Sheriff’s Office held their 15th Annual All-Wheel Show where Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante said the event featured 155 vehicles.

Dallas County ISU Extension Having Dirt & Worms Theme for Kids Korner Two on Wednesday
A representative from the Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach speaks on an exciting opportunity going on this Wednesday. Youth Outreach Educator Kathy Rottinghaus tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the extension office will make an appearance at the child care center Kids Korner Two in Adel on Wednesday at 10am to offer a guest teaching experience. Dallas County Conservation Hosting Summer Prairie Hike Late Next Week
A fun summer hike will be taking place in Perry with the Dallas County Conservation Board on Thursday. The board will be holding the hike at the Forest Park Museum and Arboretum, 14581 K Avenue, in Perry. The organization highlights that the prairie is now full of rainbow colors for the summer, changing from the dull brown-yellow grass.
Furniture Vendor Decided On at Tuesday’s Dallas County Supervisors Meeting
The new administration building in Adel was granted a furniture vendor during Tuesday’s Dallas County Board of Supervisors meeting. Farnsworth Group Representative Kristofer Orth presented to the board that the new administration building received three bids for furniture plans. The organization decided to go with Workspace Inc. in Des Moines for the amount of $645,134.41. The only other item that was approved on the agenda was the second reading for chapter 21 for the Emergency Medical Services Ordinance.
