Dallas County Fair set to return July 9-13
This year’s Dallas County Fair will kick off a day earlier as the annual event returns with a full slate of activities on July 9-13. The fair, which typically runs Wednesday through Sunday, will now be held Tuesday through Saturday. The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will be meeting in regular session tomorrow. The board will be hearing an update pertaining to the City of Perry. Other items on the agenda seeking approval include progress of the new administration and criminal court buildings in Adel, a vehicle purchase request for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, resolutions for assigned funds and precinct election officials pay rates, a Des Moines War Relocation Authority associate member invitation, board appointments, a drainage district project, and an Emergency Medical Service Workshop.

Reminder: 4th of July Closures in Dallas County
A reminder that there will be many closures in the cities of Perry and Adel in observance of the 4th of July holiday tomorrow. The City of Perry claims that the Perry City offices, the Perry Public Library, the McCreary Community Building, and the Water Works Office will be closed tomorrow. The McCreary Building is still open for members ages 18 and older to use the 24-Hour Fitness Room. Perry City Hall will have offices closed on Friday as well. According to the City of Perry, garbage will still run as normal.
