Giglio: 'If Micah Parsons is available, I need Howie Roseman to make a phone call'

Micah Parsons is reportedly wearing "thin" in Dallas and speculation is mounting that the star pass rusher could be traded.

Joe Giglio and Hugh Douglas debated on Monday's 94WIP Midday Show if they would want to see Parsons in midnight green.

"If there is an issue and the Cowboys are not ready to re-sign Micah Parsons, Howie Roseman needs to get on the phone and make a trade offer today for Micah Parsons," Giglio argued. "Opportunities like this do not come around very often."

    But he's a Cowboy...

"I don't care," Giglio said. "He's one of the best football players in the NFL. Since the moment he got in the league, he has racked up 40.5 sacks in three years. He has hit the quarterback nearly 100 times. This guy is a difference maker. When he got to the Cowboys they were 28th in defense. The three years he's been there, points allowed, 7th, 5th, 5th."

Former Eagles All-Pro defensive end and 94WIP co-host Hugh Douglas disagrees, worried more so about Parsons disrupting the locker room.

"You ever heard the saying, the juice sometimes isn't worth the squeeze?" said Douglas said.

"Maybe he's annoying, but guess what, unless I missed something he's not in trouble with the law!" Giglio said. "Once upon a time, there was a punk young Washington National that got plunked by Cole Hamels. Bryce Harper was annoying everyone! Do we forget now? And he grew up. And he was National and he was a rival...People didn't like Bryce Harper and then he came to Philadelphia and he might end up one day as the ultimate Phillie, if he's not that already.

"If Micah Parsons is available, I need Howie Roseman to make a phone call."

The Parsons report came from Shan Shariff of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas .

"I've heard from way too many people this offseason. I'm talking about at least four different people (have told me) that Micah has worn thin there," Shariff said on Friday. "I don't know how much is true and how much it actually hurts (his reputation). I don't know whether this is the behavior of a typical superstar. I don't know how damaging it is. But all I do know is this—I've heard from way too many people that if Micah Parsons was out of there, there would be a decent amount of people inside the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco smiling or breathing a sigh of relief."

Parsons, a Harrisburg, PA native, is a two-time first-team All-Pro, three-time Pro Bowler and finished top-3 in DPOY voting three times.

Parsons, who was a star at Penn State University, has often reacted to some of the Eagles' big acquisitions and draft picks on social media, but has also explained why he did not want to get drafted by the Eagles.

The Eagles added former Penn State star running back Saquon Barkley this offseason, signing the free-agent a three-year deal worth up to $47.75 million.

Furthermore, Philadelphia traded their own star pass rusher to the New York Jets in Haason Reddick for a 2026 second or third round pick. The Cowboys were reportedly interested in Reddick.

The Eagles have the fourth most cap space in the NFL, as well, according to Spotrac with $32 million . The Cowboys have just $6 million in cap space, eighth least in the NFL.

Parsons, 24, is on his rookie contract due just $2.989 million this season. He has a club exercised option for 2025 worth $21.3 million and then will become a free-agent.

Parsons has 13.0, 13.5, and 14.0 sacks, respectively, in his first three NFL seasons.
