Cowboys' Zack Martin: Retirement possible after 2024 season

Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin acknowledged that the upcoming season could be his last. "I'm not saying 100 percent, but I think it's definitely in the realm of possibilities," the seven-time All-Pro said of the notion of retirement, per The Dallas Morning News. "And that's one thing I don't want to do. For myself, I don't want to be thinking, 'Oh, this is it. This is it.' I want to stay in the moment, and I want to play the best that I can play at this point and be the best right guard this team needs on a weekly basis. And then after the season, we'll figure out what's going on." The Cowboys are adjusting the departure of left tackle Tyron Smith, who left the team this offseason and signed with the New York Jets. Smith, 33, is a two-time First-Team All-Pro selection. He was voted to eight Pro Bowls in his 13 seasons wth the Cowboys. Martin, who turns 34 in November, is a nine-time Pro Bowl selection. He has started all 152 games in which he has played since the Cowboys selected him with the 16th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. --Field Level Media
