    Klay Thompson trade details: Mavericks acquire sharpshooter from Warriors in multi-team deal

    Golden State is no longer home to the Splash Brothers.

    Following more than a decade with the Warriors, Klay Thompson has been traded to the Mavericks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski .

    The No. 11 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Thompson leaves the Warriors as a five-time All-Star and four-time champion with two All-NBA selections. He became one of the NBA's greatest shooters in Golden State and was part of arguably the best backcourt of all time with Stephen Curry.

    Mavericks receive:

    Warriors receive:

    • 2025 second-round pick (least favorable from Denver or Philadelphia)
    • Mavericks' 2031 second-round pick

    Hornets receive :

    • Josh Green

    After working through the details of the sign-and-trade with the Mavericks, the Warriors will acquire two second-round picks from Dallas, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski . Golden State receives a 2025 second-round pick that originally belonged to the Nuggets or 76ers and Dallas' second-round pick in the 2031 NBA Draft.

    The Hornets will reportedly acquire Josh Green as part of the multi-team deal.

    Klay Thompson contract details

    Thompson has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $50 million contract. It was first reported that Thompson's deal would include a player option, but it's a straight three-year contract, per Wojnarowski .
