Tuesday marks another day of Heat Advisories across North Texas, with afternoon highs topping out slightly above 100 degrees. The feels-like temperature or heat index will reach around 106. The wind will gust to 25 mph.

Clouds will creep into the area on Wednesday as a cold front approaches late in the day. North Texas will manage to get close to 100 degrees with possible Heat Advisories. Showers and storms will develop along this cold front, but not everyone will see rain. Some storms may become strong with damaging wind being the main threat.

This cold front will continue to head south of the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Thursday taking the storm chances with it. Sunshine will reappear in areas with afternoon highs a bit cooler, with temps warming into the low 90s.

The big thing you'll notice on Friday and Saturday is the cooler temperatures and the slightly lower relative humidity during the afternoon hours. The mornings will be pleasant as well. Afternoon highs will still get up into the mid-90s.

Another system slowly creeps into the area on Sunday and Monday increasing shower and thunderstorm chances as well as cloud cover. This will keep the temperatures below average. Afternoon highs will struggle to get above 90 degrees.
