Trent Pool , who serves as a paid consultant on the Robert F. Kennedy Jr . independent presidential campaign — and has been leading the effort to get Kennedy on the ballot in all 50 states — was arrested in May in Dallas, Texas for violating a protective order against a woman he allegedly choked and punched in April in New York City, Mediaite has learned. Mediaite exclusively reported on the original arrest back on May 2.

The Dallas Police Department issued a statement to Mediaite on Tuesday detailing the circumstances of the arrest.

“On May 29, 2024, at about 10:55 p.m., Dallas Police were notified by Southwest Airlines of a disturbance on an inbound flight into Dallas Love Field Airport,” the statement said. “The preliminary investigation determined 37-year-old Trenton Pool got into an argument with a woman on the airplane. Once the airplane arrived at Dallas Love Field Airport, Pool was arrested for violating a protective order out of New York City and transported to Dallas County Jail. Pool and the woman were known to each other.”

Back in May, an NYPD spokesperson told Mediaite that shortly after 5 a.m. on the morning of April 27, Pool was engaged in a “verbal dispute” with a 25-year-old woman at the Soho Grand hotel in downtown Manhattan. The woman declined medical attention and Pool was arrested without incident.

Police said the woman reported that Pool “wrapped his hand around her neck making it hard for her to breath and then struck her in the face with a closed fist, causing pain.”

Prior to Pool’s arrest in New York City, Mediaite reported that in February, the Kennedy consultant was arrested for fourth-degree assault in Seattle, Washington — an arrest which was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Seattle Police Department.

The Kennedy campaign and Pool did not respond to immediate requests for comment.
