The Michelin Guide is coming to Texas

DALLAS (KDAF) — Get ready, Texas foodies! The prestigious Michelin Guide will review restaurants in the Lone Star State for the very first time. In a new partnership with Travel Texas, Michelin will be judging restaurants in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.

The first Michelin Guide Texas selections will be unveiled later this year.

Michelin’s anonymous critics, known as inspectors, are already in the field, making reservations to taste the best Texas has to offer. These inspectors award the coveted one, two, or three stars based on product quality, flavor, cooking technique, and the chef’s unique voice and consistency. Michelin’s Bib Gourmand selection recognizes restaurants offering great quality food at admirable prices, and their green star is given to leaders in sustainable gastronomy.
