DALLAS (KDAF) — Dallas residents looking to spruce up their homes can now get financial assistance through the city’s Home Improvement and Preservation Program (HIPP). Applications open from August 19 to August 30.

Programs offer grants or forgivable loans ranging from $10,000 to $24,000 for low and moderate-income families. Funds can help with emergency repairs, code violations, and issues with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, or structural problems.

To help you navigate the application process, the city is hosting workshops from July 15 to August 16. These hour-long sessions, available in both English and Spanish, will provide answers to your questions and hands-on help.
