Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is amid a historic rookie season. After becoming the NCAA's all-time leading scorer in her final season at Iowa, Clark entered the WNBA with incredible expectations. Recently named to the All-Star team, Clark has met and exceeded these expectations in many ways.

Along with her current statistical averages - which have never been sustained across an entire WNBA season, Clark has several individual performances that are one of one in league history. Adding to that list on Wednesday night, Clark made history against the Dallas Wings.

With her 19th assist of the game, Clark broke the WNBA record for assists in a game:

Clark also continues to make history with her statistical totals. Already reaching 200 rebounds and assists this season, Clark is just the fourth player in WNBA history to do. Additionally, Clark is the first rookie in WNBA history to achieve this feat.

Clark's combination of scoring, passing, and rebounding is what makes her so unique. Entering play on Wednesday, Clark was the only player in the WNBA averaging at least 15.0 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, and 5.0 assists per game.

The Indiana Fever shared the record-breaking assist from Clark in a post on X:

With arguably the best game of her young career, Clark was remarkable on Wednesday night in a very exciting contest against the Wings. Having already tallied the only rookie triple-double in WNBA history, Clark is taking these stat lines to new heights on seemingly a nightly basis.
