The FBI in Dallas is looking for a man suspected in two bank robberies this month. Because of his clothing, they're calling him the "Derby Desperado."

The first robbery happened at a credit union on Telecom Parkway in Garland on July 3. The second occurred at a bank on Forest Lane in Dallas on July 12. In both cases, the man passed a note to the teller demanding money and then fled the scene in an SUV.

The suspect is described as a white male with green eyes. He's between 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a surgical face mask and surgical gloves.

The FBI said that in both cases, the man was wearing a dark suit, a white shirt, a tie, and a light fedora-style hat. That's why they gave him the nickname "the Derby Desperado."

They're asking anyone with information about him to call the FBI Dallas at 972-559-5000 or to submit tips on-line through the agency's website at https://tips.fbi.gov/home .
