Kacey Musgraves Shares Creative Take On Iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders “Thunderstruck” Dance

Honestly, she should be on the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading team... Earlier, Kacey Musgraves shared a funny video on Instagram before what appears to be her headlining appearance at FairWell festival over the weekend, where she looked absolutely stunning in an all-denim getup and some incredible knee-high camo boots. If you've watched anything on Netflix or have been on social media at all recently, you've probably seen ads for, or watched, America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders . The show takes viewers from the first audition all the way through the end of NFL football season for the Cowboys, giving fans an inside at how the DCC organization runs. I loved the original iteration on CMT Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, though it's fun to watch the entire process in this new show as opposed to just seeing the ruthless audition process. And if you know anything about the DCC, then you know their iconic "Thunderstruck" dance routine, which has become super viral online with the popularity of the show, and many girls have been learning it and doing it themselves (seriously, even the Amish are in on it now). Yes, even Miss Musgraves, a Texas native, put out her version of the dance, sharing footage of her (kind of) doing the routine, using bags of chips as pom poms (I'll give her points for creativity there), saying: "Got a little thunderstruck last night." Kacey also tagged DCC Director Kelli Finglass in the comments, asking: "Be brutally honest is there potential?" And Kelli responded, saying if Kacey could get real poms and work on her kicks some, she's "closer to Game Day," adding that "we already know how GREAT you look in the DCC uniform!": "If you replace the chips with poms and work a little bit on those kicks, you're closer to Game Day! We already know how GREAT you look in the DCC uniform!" Amen to that, Kelli... back in 2019, Kacey dressed up as a DCC for Halloween, and I still think about how amazing it was every fall because she absolutely nailed it and looked perfect, just like a DCC (yes, guys, I'll include a picture of it down below).
