Founded in 1927 in Dallas, Texas, 7-Eleven traces its origins to its iconic "C-Store," acknowledged today as the " world's first convenience store " with a global presence.

Presently under new ownership by SEJ Asset Management & Investment Company, a subsidiary of Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd., 7-Eleven is gearing up for a transformation at its U.S. locations .

With progress made in resolving supply chain challenges, a complete makeover is coming.

The company has announced plans for a significant revamp including changes in the appearance, atmosphere, and product selections at select U.S. stores, incorporating a touch of Japanese influence in the rebranding effort.

Expected changes include a shift towards a more diverse menu featuring an array of fresh offerings such as sandwiches, fried chicken, sushi, and desserts, departing from its traditional meals like hot dogs and Slurpees.

CEO Ryuichi Isaka emphasized the need to address supply chain issues before launching these significant changes.

Isaka said: "We believe that we need to transition our business model from one reliant on gasoline and cigarettes to a model where customers are drawn to us for our product offerings. Fresh food is pivotal in driving this transformative shift."
