Alleged intoxicated driver arrested after fleeing police in Rowlett
ROWLETT, Texas â An alleged intoxicated driver was arrested after attempting to evade officers and fleeing on foot in Rowlett, according to the Rowlett Police Department. The incident occurred in the 7600 block of Munich Drive, where the driver nearly hit a curb on Lakeview Parkway before abandoning the vehicle and running away. The Texas Department of Public Safety's North Texas Region, specifically DPS 101, assisted in locating the suspect, who was found hiding in a backyard and subsequently taken into custody.
Teen Shooting Suspect Arrested in Missouri After Year-Long Search

University Park has closed the 6600 block of Snider Plaza between Daniel Avenue and Rosedale Avenue to vehicle traffic to continue construction work in the shopping area. Sidewalks adjacent to businesses are still open to pedestrians and will remain open while street and parking work take place.
