The annual competition sees cruisers from state police agencies across the country trying to outdo each other in a photo contest. This year, the Michigan State Police cruiser, affectionately known as the Blue Goose, is shown in a photo parked in front of the entrance to the Electric Forest Musci festival in Rothbury on the west side of the state. Relocation of historic Italianate mansion draws crowd to downtown Muskegon
MUSKEGON, MI -- Dozens of residents gathered Wednesday to watch a 155-year-old Italianate mansion be wheeled through the streets of downtown Muskegon. The mansion, known as the Nelson House, was first a private residence and later served as the rectory for the long-vacant St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church. Purchased by Muskegon Public Schools, it was set to be demolished before the city of Muskegon expressed interest. City leaders just purchased it in June for a nominal fee of $100. The cost of the move and setting a new foundation is near $230,000.

(CBS DETROIT) - A 22-year-old Michigan man will give up $630,000 in cryptocurrency and cash as well as his computer tower after pleading guilty in a massive mPerks cyber theft scheme that cost Meijer more than $1 million. Nicholas Mui of Grand Haven pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of conducting a criminal enterprise in the theft and sale of information associated with mPerks accounts, the Michigan Attorney General's Office said. Mui was charged in December 2023 following a lengthy investigation by Michigan State Police's Fraud Investigation Section and the FORCE team.
