Endurance swimmer to make another solo Lake Michigan crossing attempt
Jim Dreyer announced plans to "finish what he started" last summer and make another attempt to swim alone across Lake Michigan. This self-sufficient journey, planned to begin on Aug. 6, weather permitting, will require him to tow more than 200 pounds of supplies and do his own navigating. The route will take him 82.9 miles from McKinley Beach in Milwaukee to City Beach in Grand Haven.
