A popular oasis for locals and weary travelers along US Route 30 at state Route 94 is Dalton Dari-ette Drive In.
It serves a variety of festive foods like coney dogs, burgers and sloppy joes, along with a selection of savory ice cream treats, as it has done since 1957.
Open daily 10 a.m.-10 p.m., the Dalton Dari-ette offers a picnic seating area where guests can enjoy their meals or snacks, while taking a respite from the road.
Kerri and Lennie Miller make a regular stop at the Dalton Dari-ette as it serves as a half-way point between home and camp.

"Everything is really good here," said Jackie Messenger of Orrville, who enjoys stopping and visiting at the drive-in.
"It's a nice place to stop for a quick lunch," Kerrie Miller said. "It never disappoints."
Coney dogs are the most popular food item on the menu, according to staff members. The Dari-ette also offer plain hot dogs and cheeseburgers, fish, ham and cheese, shredded chicken and BLTs.
On the cool treats side, sundae options made with soft serve ice cream include hot fudge, butter pecan, tin roof, butterscotch, peanut butter, chocolate, strawberry, blackberry pineapple, cherry and more.
A banana boat ice cream treat or a hot fudge cake are other dessert options, as well as shakes, malts and floats.
So when the need for something sweet strikes, and you happen to be nearby, stop in at the Dalton Dari-ette, 240 S. Mill St., to satisfy your craving.
