Same Day, Same Charge, as Streator Woman Arrested Twice Thursday
A woman arrested in Streator Thursday was released, only to be arrested later in Ottawa. Thirty-seven-year-old Tanya Torres-Magana of Streator was arrested Thursday morning on a charge of residential burglary. She was allegedly caught committing a home burglary by a Streator couple returning from an out-of-town visit. Torres-Magana was given pretrial release.
Prison Awaits Streator Man Who Served Time Before For Role In Fatal La Salle Bar Altercation
A man who was sent to prison for his role in a fatal La Salle bar fight is headed back to prison on new charges. Thirty-two-year-old Dezzan Phillips of Streator was given 14 years for robbery on Thursday and 3 years in prison for domestic battery. He will be allowed to serve those years at the same time.
