CT DEEP identifies Candlewood Lake drowning victims

DANBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental protection identifies the two men pulled from Candlewood Lake in Danbury after a drowning incident.

They have been identified as Muzha Medardo Vayancela, 26, and Loja Klever Guanuchi, 36, both residents of Danbury.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will perform an autopsy on the two men Friday.

The incident is being investigated as an accident.
