Salt Lake has a year’s worth of 100-degree days with two months of summer left
SALT LAKE CITY— We’re not even halfway through summer, and Salt Lake City has already clocked the number of 100-degree days seen typically in an entire year. KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson said that, on average, Salt Lake City will have nine days per year where temperatures are at least 100 degrees. This year, there have already been nine triple-digit days in Salt Lake.
Allegedly intoxicated e-biker arrested in Sun Peak neighborhood
A Summit County sheriff’s deputy saw the man swerving in the Sun Peak neighborhood of Park City around 11 p.m. July 14, according to Chief Deputy Kacey Bates. The arresting deputy said they saw the biker nearly collide with vehicles multiple times and drift into oncoming traffic before they pulled him over.

Wyoming toads’ new home key to their recovery
Wyoming toads — one of the most endangered amphibians in North America — are slowly making a comeback thanks to the work of conservation groups. Those efforts leaped forward when the Hutton Lake National Wildlife Refuge Wyoming Toad Conservation Area opened June 18 near Laramie, providing a protected natural habitat for captive-bred toads released into the wild.
