LAYTON, Utah, July 17, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for a public assist in tracking down suspects who were throwing lit fireworks into a crowd of people. “During the City’s July 4th festivities, a large group of 100 or more young people gathered near the vendors on Constitution Circle, and then made their way to the soccer field at Layton High School,” Layton City Police said in an online post that included a suspect photo and which offers a $500 reward for information.

City reopens southern Kiwanis Community Park
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The southern portion of Kiwanis Community Park, located off East Pershing Boulevard, has reopened following a seasonal closure for wildlife protection. The affected area contains a large pond that provides valuable habitat for many species of wildlife and is especially important to many species of waterfowl.
