The Sangres Art Guild (SAG) is inviting all artists to submit entries for the 2025 calendar. The 2025 Calendar Art Competition, “Peace in the Valley,” entry deadline is March 23, 2024 and the competition is open to all 2D, 3D and photographic artists.

An art opening reception will take place May 4, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the 3^rd Street Gallery which is located at 59000 N. Highway 69 in Westcliffe, Colorado. This will be followed by an art show and sale May 4 through May 25, 2024.

To enter the competition, deliver entries to the 3rd Street Gallery which is located at 59000 N. Highway 69 in Westcliffe, Colorado on Saturday, March 23, 2024 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is a juried show and 13 artworks will be chosen for the calendar by juror Gloria Countryman. To enter earlier than March 23, 2024, email info@sangresartguild.org to make arrangements. In case of inclement weather, the alternative entry date is March 30, 2024. The entry fee is just $8 per piece for SAG members or $16 per piece for non-members.

Each artist may enter as many as three pieces of artwork. The calendar will include no more than one work per artist. The accompanying show will include one to three works for sale from each entering artist. General guidelines state that each piece is limited to 1,296 square inches, with no single dimension greater than 36 inches, as measured at the outside of its frame. Note that the aspect ratio of the calendar is a horizontal 8.5 x 11 inches. Artists may enter any medium of original 2D, photography or 3D artwork. All artwork must be original (no reproductions) and created by the artist within the past three years.
