Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation to Honor Seven Denver NICU Nurses at Second Annual Cradling Hearts Celebration Event September 5, 2024.

Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation (RMCHF) just announced the recipients of the 2024 Cradling Heart Award. Seven neonatal intensive care (NICU) nurses will be celebrated for their dedication and the exceptional care and comfort they provide babies and their families at the Cradling Hearts celebration September 5, 2024 at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

The 2024 Cradling Heart Award recipients are:

    · Amy Adkins, Neonatal Transport Nurse, AirLife Denver, HealthONE

    · Nicole Johnson, NICU RN, Sky Ridge Medical Center

    · Kate Rizley, NICU RN, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children

    · Lindsay Martinez, NICU RN, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children

    · Bridget Demaree, NICU RN, North Suburban Medical Center

    · Kelsey Rozinski, NICU RN, Swedish Medical Center

    · Cheryl Gray, NICU RN, Rose Medical Center

“Having a baby in the NICU is an overwhelming experience for families,” says Cathy Sandoval, Executive Director of Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation. “ NICU nurses go above and beyond to care for these babies, from simply being a friendly face for new parents to monitoring NICU babies for the slightest changes to quite literally saving lives. The nurses we are honoring at this year’s Cradling Hearts Celebration have demonstrated exceptional care to the tiny patients and families in their care, and we are thrilled to have an opportunity to celebrate the incredible work they do.”

In addition to the award presentation, the Cradling Hearts Celebration gives guests an opportunity to hear inspiring stories, explore the gardens, participate in a silent auction, and learn more about how RMCHF works with partners like NICU nurses to support families in our community.

“We are in awe of the passion and resilience our medical partners demonstrate each and every day,” says Sandoval. “Whether you’re new to our organization or already part of our community, we invite you to join us as we honor our healthcare heroes and come together to support families that really need us.”

Tickets to the Cradling Hearts Celebration can be purchased at rmchildren.org/cradlinghearts. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. To learn more, please contact Cathy Sandoval at events@rmchildren.org.
