With the help of incoming Husker freshman Camden McDanel, Team USA’s U20 freestyle squad did some serious work on Saturday at the Pan-American Championships in Lima, Peru. Coming in after a gap year training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, McDanel competed for Team USA at 97 kg for the second year in a row. Despite losing the spot on the U20 World Team to Justin Rademacher this year at the World Team Trials, McDanel got the nod to compete in Lima and didn’t disappoint.

Nebraska adds Jamar Mozee as Senior Football Assistant
Nebraska football and head coach Matt Rhule made another addition to the coaching staff. Jamar Mozee joins the Huskers as a Senior Football Assistant. Mozee joins the Cornhuskers after spending the last nine seasons as the head coach of Lee’s Summit North High School. He left the program in February for an analyst role with Central Florida. While at Lee’s Summit North, he had an overall record of 64-35 but has gone 33-5 in the last three seasons. His son, Isaiah Mozee, is a four-star recruit in the class of 2025. The younger Mozee committed to Oregon in April but visited the Lincoln campus several times before announcing his decision. Blessed with an amazing opportunity. I grew up in a musical family and have been in and around the Omaha music scene nearly my whole life and am a musician myself. I have found myself more distanced from the Omaha music community than I would like in recent years because of motherhood, busy schedules, etc. When the opportunity to host The Omaha Sound presented itself, I was nervous but I knew I was equipped. I am not quite as immersed in the Omaha music community as I once was, but I am getting back into the swing of things.
