Two road closures to begin by Danville schools on Wednesday

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Road closures will begin by two Danville schools on Wednesday morning while the City attends to a pair of water main lines.

Construction will begin at 7 a.m. and will last through 4 p.m. Friday for both projects.

One will take on Lorraine Street, south of English Street, by Northeast Elementary Magnet School. The other will be on Park Street, south of East Main Street, by Kenneth D. Bailey Academy School.

The closures will affect both north and southbound travelers on Lorraine Street and Park Street.

Drivers are asked to use alternate routes during this time. If traveling near the work zones, both motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution.
