    Suspects in Fourth of July burglaries also linked to Hendricks County incident

    HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. — A pair of burglars who reportedly broke into multiple homes over the Fourth of July in Marion County and Hancock County are also linked to a burglary in Hendricks County on July 5.

    According to a police report from the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call of a burglary at a home north of Danville on July 5. The burglary reportedly occurred at around 10:40 a.m. on Friday but was not reported until around 5 p.m. that afternoon.

    Security footage showed a person in a tan uniform knocking at the door of a home off of N SR 39 near Danville. The man’s face is covered in the video, but matches the outfit of one of the two people involved in the other two incidents.

    An additional video from the home shows a person who is wearing a similar outfit to the other of the two individuals involved in the other two incidents. This man was reportedly in the vehicle they approached the house in.

    The police reports states that the two people, who have not been identified, reportedly stole more than $10,900 in cash, bonds and currency from the Hendricks County home, as well as more than $18,200 in jewelry, including:

    • A 14K yellow gold custom ring containing three diamonds
    • A diamond wedding band
    • Multiple gold and silver chains
    • A solid gold Mickey and Minnie charm
    • Necklaces and earrings

    The report states that multiple personal identity documents were stolen from four individuals including passports, social security cards and birth certificates.

    According to previous reports , the burglars were captured by home surveillance systems breaking into homes on July 4 in both Marion County and Hancock County. Detectives in Hancock County, as well as the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, are currently investigating the incidents.

    The homeowners provided security footage of the apparent burglary that occurred on July 5 in Hendricks County. Those videos can be viewed below:
