Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation is holding its 2024 Silent Auction .

The carefully curated auction items represent the generosity of our community as each of them have been donated to benefit the foundation’s mission of advancing health care initiatives throughout Ephraim McDowell’s six-county service region of Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Lincoln, Mercer, and Washington county, Kentucky.

The items offered will be on display through August 3 online, or in person at the Luminosity in Paris Gala – the foundation’s signature event.

This year’s gala will be held at Centre College, at the Roush Campus Center, on August 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The event will pay homage to the 2024 Olympic games in Paris, France. Tickets, event information, and a full list of sponsors, can be found at emheath.org.

For the first time, the foundation has merged the Luminosity and Chaplains Fund action to make one single, hopefully larger, impact for those that we serve.

The monies raised from these efforts will 100% go towards the Good Works Fund, which is an unrestricted fund, for the areas of greatest need. Just this year, the Good Works Fund has contributed just under $130,000 to various health related services. Some notable contributions include:

    • $40,000 for all public middle and high schools with our service area to receive their choice of either mental health or substance abuse programming.
    • $1,225 towards maternity services and education for new & expectant mothers.
    • Complimentary membership to McDowell Wellness Center for EMH patients who beat cancer.
    • $1,500 to support project graduation efforts for all area high schools to promote safe and sober graduation efforts.
    • $30,000 in funding for Kids Can Do Pediatric Therapy Center for Camp Can Do, Camp Healthy Kids, an orthotic shoe program, and adaptive bicycles allowing children, no matter their condition, the ability to participate; which leads to better quality of life and health outcomes.
    • $26,155, through our Chaplains Fund, was awarded to patients of Ephraim McDowell Health who were unable to afford care, prescriptions, and/or medical equipment.
    • $10,388 awarded to Ephraim McDowell Health associates, through our Associates FIRST Fund, to provide support during a time of hardship. Our commitment to associates allows them to serve our patients to the best of their ability.

As the signature event of the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation, the gala and auction are more than just an event for personal enjoyment—it’s a chance to make a difference. Support as a “gold medal” donor directly funds life-changing projects that enhance healthcare services for all. Together, let’s illuminate the torch to a brighter, healthier future.

Special Thank You to our partners Farmers National Bank and Danville Office Equipment.

Here you’ll find an array of items up for grabs from our generous sponsors. Need not be present to win.
