Don’t Sleep Inc. is hosting its Back to School Block Party from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at Millennium Park in Danville.

There will be food, cold drinks, inflatables, games, vendors and more all day. The annual event allows local families of all backgrounds to unite and have fun.

The party helps spread information about resources and activities available in the community.

President of Don’t Sleep, Ra’shea Ford founded the nonprofit in 2011 to encourage people to help their communities.

Alongside helping organize events like the block party, Don’t Sleep works with the schools to help provide activities for children, provides clothing for donation, backpack giveaways and more.
