Danville Parks and Rec opening splash pad at Doyle Thomas Park

DANVILLE, Va. ( WFXR )– Danville Parks and Recreation is hosting a soft opening for a new splash pad at Doyle Thomas Park on Monday, July 15.

“We are excited to have a soft opening of Danville’s second splash pad,” Director of Danville Parks and Recreation, Bill Sgrinia, said. “We know that local residents will truly enjoy this addition to Doyle Thomas Park, which is already so well-loved.”

Admission to the new Doyle Thomas Park splash pad is free and will operate from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It will be open on:

• Monday- Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Friday- Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The project reflects Danville Parks and Recs’s commitment to enhancing parks and facilities by providing residents with safe, enjoyable spaces to gather and play.
