DALTON, Ga. — Former Georgia Senator and Dalton native Dr. Don Thomas has passed away at the age of 91. Thomas' obituary says he passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. According to the obituary, Thomas was a family practice physician in Dalton for 58 years.
