Changes in Real Estate Assessment Notices Mailed
As a requirement of Virginia State Code §58.1-3290, 3291 and 3292, the City of Lynchburg’s Assessor’s Office has mailed the 2024 Changes in Real Estate Assessment notices which reflect changes due to renovations, building permits for additions, renovations or new construction, and for subdivisions and rezoning. Only those affected will receive this notice.

College football analyst says Virginia Tech is loaded with draftable talent in 2024
It was a very quiet 2024 NFL Draft back in April in Detroit with no Virginia Tech players selected. That could change drastically for the Hokies come next April in Green Bay. The quiet draft for Virginia Tech three months ago was in part because some of the players who would have likely had their names called decided to come back for one more season in Blacksburg. The extra season in college is going to raise the draft stock for some of their players and one college football analyst, Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network, thinks the Hokies are "loaded with draftable talent this fall" and there have been positive reviews from across the league this summer.
