Animal Control seizes animals from 'deplorable' conditions, 54-year-old charged: LPD
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A 54-year-old is charged after 15 dogs and a pet bird were found living in what police said are deplorable and unsanitary conditions. On July 9, 2024, Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) said Lynchburg Animal Control Officers responded to a complaint of animal hoarding in the 1600 block of Shaffer Street. Once on the scene, officers discovered an "appalling situation" and obtained a search warrant to address the reported conditions.
