Rain continues to stream through the area
The chance for thunderstorms will continue through the end of the week. A weak cold front stalled in the area will bring a greater chance for thunderstorms today and Friday as well as the chance for heavy rain. The Weather Prediction Center has put the entire area in a slight risk (15%) for excessive rainfall. There’s a Flood Watch for the entire area until midnight. It will be mostly cloudy the next two days, and that will keep temperatures in the 80s.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - One of Coastal Carolina University’s most notable alums is getting a big promotion. Kevin Kane will now be a series regular on “Law & Order: SVU” beginning with Season 26 this fall, in news first reported by Deadline on Monday. Kane himself also confirmed the news on Instagram.
FIRST ALERT: FLOOD WATCH extended through Friday
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Periods of heavy rain will continue at times tonight and Friday before dryer weather and a brief break in humidity arrive by the weekend. The FLASH FLOOD WATCH that is out for the entire area has been extended until Friday evening. Heavy rain over the past several days has led to saturated soils across the watch area. Additional heavy rainfall is expected this evening and Friday evening. This additional rainfall will increase the potential for flash flooding.

20-year-old's death in Manning draws state agents and a public plea
MANNING, S.C. — Manning Police are investigating the Wednesday shooting death of a 20-year-old man with help from the county deputies and state agents. A department spokesperson said deputies were called to the Bellwood area of town, where they found the victim, Christopher Forehand of Manning, with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead by the Clarendon County Coroner's Office.
