Susquehanna Valley schools look at ways to mitigate cellphone use during classes
EAST PENNSBORO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — School districts in the Susquehanna Valley are implementing new policies to prevent cellphones from becoming distractions in classrooms. Among those districts is the East Pennsboro Area School District in Cumberland County, which recently required middle school students to have their cellphones secured in their lockers during class periods. High school students may have their cellphones on their person but are expected to keep them off in their pocket or out of sight.
Lower Paxton family accepting donations after devastating house fire
LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTHM) — Local communities are stepping up to help a Dauphin County family after a fire destroyed their home on Sunday. Last Sunday night, crews were called to a home on Ford Avenue around 9 p.m. for a reported house fire.
