The last Party in the Park for the season will also celebrate the completion of multi-sports courts at three parks in Davenport.

The City of Davenport and community partners will host a ribbon cutting to mark the completion of the multi-sport courts located at Cork Hill, Herington and Van Buren Parks on Thursday, August 8 at 5 p.m. at Herington Park, 935 Brown Street. The new courts are part of the $2.5 million dollar park improvements funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

Davenport Mayor Mike Matson and Chad Dyson, director of Parks and Recreation, will speak at the ribbon cutting. The final 2024 Party in the Park will take place immediately following the ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m.
