Shopped at Walmart in the last 5 years? You may be entitled to up to $500

    2024-03-02

If you ask most Americans if they've shopped at Walmart in the past five years, the answer would be a resounding yes! With its large selection that ranges from clothing, to food and groceries, auto care, tires, sporting goods, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, electronics and more and locations in most areas, it's hard not to take advantage of the large selection and low prices. With most Walmart shoppers being value oriented, they're sure to be excited to find out that they may be entitled to up to $500 from Walmart!

The money in question is part of a class action settlement that Walmart has agreed to. The settlement alleges that shoppers who purchased certain bagged citrus (including oranges, grapefruit, and tangerines) or certain meat products that were sold by weight (meat, poultry, pork and seafood) were charged more than the lowest in store advertised price for those products. It's important to note that Walmart denies these allegations and denies any wrongdoing. The best part for shoppers is that there is absolutely no documentation required to submit a claim! Shoppers that do have receipts from purchases of these items between 2018 and 2024 are entitled to file a claim of up to $500 (2% of the actual amount spent on these goods.) Don't worry, if you don't have receipts you may still be eligible to file an affadavit and a claim for up to $25 if you bought any of these goods. Don't let the opportunity slip by though - all claims must be filed by June 5, 2024.

To submit a claim and for more information, just visit the settlement website here.

I even get my oil changed there, so many years of shopping there, I never thought of being over charged,
