House of Henry St. Patrick's Day Festival a go for Sunday - despite threat of inclement weather

    2024-03-17

Despite the threat of inclement weather, 4th annual St. Patricks day festival in Downtown Panama City is a go. The city has blocked off Harrison Ave downtown from City Hall all the way to 4th Street in anticipation of thousands of guests for the huge once a year event. Early forecasts predicted a rainy Sunday, but the sun is shining in Panama City and now weather forecasters expect rain to hold of until late afternoon. Festival organizers are urging guests to come out early to make sure they have time to enjoy what is predictd to be a bright and sunny afternoon. In any case, the party is on either way. In the case of inclement weather, all festivities will move inside House of Henry to the back stage.

The party kicks off at 11am with a live performance from Panama City favorite True Soul. The band plays all kinds of favorites such as The Eagle's hit "Hotel California," music from the Temptations including "My Girl," and contemporary favorites from artists such as Bruno Mars. Later in the afternoon Krooked Kilts will be performing, and Scratch 2020 will take the main stage as the headlining event. Inside, Jay Moody and Corey Hall perform in the afternoon as well as a live show from "Biker Comedian Hypnotist" Gary Michaels. There are also multiple competitions planned. The festival will host Tully Hoisting, Arm Wrestling and the fan favorite Shepherds pie eating contest.

St. Patrick's Day at House of Henry is free of charge and open to the public. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
