Dallas Man Charged in Mysterious Nashville Body Wrecker Yard Case
Nashville, TN – A Dallas man has been charged in connection with the mysterious death of a man whose body was found in a Nashville wrecker yard last December. According to the Davidson County Grand Jury, Jose Pablo Zavala, 38, faces first-degree murder charges for allegedly killing Orlando Hernandez, 58. Zavala was taken into custody in Dallas on Friday night. Rosa Carol Torres, 31, was also indicted for evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse. Torres is currently in custody in Wilson County.

Majority of Guns Reported Stolen in Nashville Taken from Vehicles
The Nashville Police Department strongly encourages Nashvillians to lock their automobile doors, secure any valuables---especially guns, and remove the keys. So far this year, 444 guns have been stolen from vehicles in Nashville, 29 were taken from autos just last week. The total number of guns stolen this year in Davidson County is 622, which means that 71% of guns stolen so far in 2024 have been taken from automobiles. Last year at this same time, 692 guns had been stolen from vehicles.
