Metro sells downtown property to utility company
Metro Government has sold to Piedmont Natural Gas Co. a downtown property located near First Horizon Park and offering a former governmental building. According to a Davidson County Register of Deeds document, the sales price for the North Capitol property was $4,239,000. The address is 800 Second Ave. S.
Metro launches $90M Catalyst Fund to finance affordable housing
Though most of the region's population growth is happening in surrounding counties, Davidson County also needs more housing to keep up with its anticipated growth. A city-commissioned report in 2021 estimated 18,000 units are needed by 2030. The Nashville Catalyst Fund is a tandem effort between Metro and the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
