(FOX40.COM) — A Davis native will be competing on Jeopardy this week.

James Hayakawa is one of three contestants competing on Monday’s episode of the long-time quiz show.

One of his opponents is Isaac Hirsch, a Burbank customer support lead, who is on an eight-game winning streak.

“This has been a lifelong dream of mine and it is surreal to see it come true!” Hayakawa said on his Instagram account.

According to Jeopardy’s website, Hayakawa is an actor and program officer for a non-profit.

The Davis native studied the performing arts after high school, earning his bachelor’s degree in musical theatre from Ball State in Muncie, Indiana, according to his website.

Hayakawa currently resides in Chicago, his website and Instagram said.
