PARIS (KTXL) – He has 15 X Games gold medals and six world titles.

Now, he is an Olympic medalist.

Nyjah Huston won bronze in the men’s street skateboarding final on Monday in Paris, finishing the event with a total score of 279.38.

Japan’s Yuto Horigome won the gold medal with a score of 281.14, while American Jagger Eaton (who won bronze three years ago in Tokyo), finished with a score of 281.04 to win the silver medal.

Nyjah Huston, who is from Davis, began skateboarding when he was just five years old. He is competing in his second Olympics. He failed to medal in Tokyo three years ago and finished in seventh place, despite being ranked No. 1 in the world. He has dealt with injuries over the last few years, tearing a ligament in his wrist a few days before the Tokyo Olympics and later tearing an ACL in 2022.

The men’s street skateboarding competition was originally supposed to take place on Saturday in Paris, but it was rescheduled for Monday due to rain.
