Pistos Coffee jam sessions engaging the community
OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – The goal of Pistos Coffee was always to bring the community back together. Get folks to sit down and talk to each other one cup at a time. “We wanted to create an atmosphere that would change that thought process. And so we wanted to bring people into a place that felt comfortable,” said Pistos Coffee volunteer & First Brethren Church Pastor Mike Meadows. “These guys, they’ve been coming as regular customers for a while, but they came and said, ‘Hey, would it be okay if we came in and played some music?’ And we’re like, ‘Sure because that’s part of community.”
