Editor’s note: “Just Sold” is a Finance & Commerce feature based on the newest certificates of real estate value filed with the Minnesota Department of Revenue for commercial sales throughout Minnesota and reports of sales across the country involving local parties. Research includes company and broker documents, online real estate listings, F&C archives, Catylist and other research.

La Crosse, Wisconsin-based Kwik Trip Inc. has closed on its second location in Dayton, about 30 miles northwest of Minneapolis.

The company closed June 13 on a $6 million deal for a 10.27-acre site on the southwest corner of Dayton Parkway and Holly Lane. City Administrator Zach Doud said Tuesday he expects work to begin this summer on the proposed 14,233-square-foot convenience store and gas station.

The seller was PROffutt LLC of Fargo, North Dakota, which was represented by Jon Rausch, Luke Appert and Ben Drew of Cushman & Wakefield in Bloomington.

The new location is in an industrial area along the busy Interstate 94 corridor and not far from the site where the Minneapolis-based Opus is developing a business park.

Kwik Trip opened its first location in Dayton in 2023, including a gas station, convenience store and car wash at 19010 County Road 81.
