MT Dept. of Commerce Offers Economic Impact and Destination Event Grants
HELENA, Mont. – The Montana Department of Commerce is now accepting applications for the Economic Impact and Destination Event Grant Program. This State-funded grant program helps Montana communities with new and destination events to increase tourism by regional, national and international visitors, to promote Montana's unique attributes and to generate additional community revenue.
Fires in northeast Wyoming and southeast Montana see increase containment and little change in size
UPDATE: August 27 at 1:31 p.m. The Southwest Area Incident Management Team provided an update on the fires burning in northeast Wyoming and southeast Montana. Team 5 reported that while acreage has remained stable, containment levels have increased. Fire crews are now focused on extinguishing hotspots and holding fire lines.
