As detailed in a recent article , a downtown Dayton restaurant is planning to relocate next year to Uptown Centerville. Mudlick Tap House, currently located at 135 E Second St, is moving to 110 W Franklin St. The eatery’s new home will be new construction and the restaurant will be a 6,000 square foot single-story building with a patio. The move will happen once construction is completed, with the current timeframe slated for next spring.

Owned by Jennifer Dean and her husband Forrest Williams, Mudlick Tap House has been in business for a decade, but the couple decided to make the move to Centerville to be closer to where they grew up, as well as to become part of the growing Uptown Centerville community.

“Our customers are the backbone of our business, we are grateful for their years of loyalty and look forward to serving them now and in the future,” said Dean in a press release.

Mudlick will be the sole tenant of the new freestanding building, leased by Oberer Realty Services. The company also has the existing Second Street location listed for sale.

“We are thrilled to announce our deal with Mudlick Tap House,” Danielle Kuehnle, senior VP, sales and leasing at Oberer Realty Services shared in a press release.

No matter the location, Mudlick Tap House will continue to offer guests its menu of scratch prepared items with small plates and shareables like deviled eggs, brisket tacos and parmesan fries, and entrees such as burgers, creole grouper and pasta dishes. The establishment also offers a selection of draft beers and cocktails like old fashioneds, mojitos and margaritas.
